The world of biological safety regulations is ever-evolving and rapidly changing. This website was designed to assist the MSU research community with understanding biological safety requirements associated with the use of recombinant DNA molecules, Select Agents and High Consequence Pathogens and infectious agents in general.

By understanding these requirements, researchers can:

  • assist in assuring the safety of MSU personnel and the campus at large, and
  • assure that they are in compliance with all requirements of funding agencies.
