The Expanded Select Agents List Prior to 2002, the select agent list was comprised of agents and toxins that were determined by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) on behalf of the Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS) as being a serious threat to public health. Additions to the list are those items that USDA-APHIS has identified as being a serious threat to agriculture and livestock. Please see Select Agents section of this site table for the recently revised list of select agents. Note that additions are in bold print. |
